Good stuff but poor value this year. Have bought a 1 tonne bag of the Horse Manure Mulch for the last 3 years, always been very good. This year was only available in 40 litre bags with a basic pallet being 60 bags so 1200 litres. A bit more than I would need (I thought) but pro-rata not too much more expensive so ordered the 1200 litres. For some reason though did not go anywhere near as far as the normal 1 tonne bulk bag load - each year it's been spread only on the rose garden so area identical. I just about managed to make it stretch but would say buying in the 40 litres bags I got maybe 20% less volume rather than the 20% more I was expecting, so making it v expensive compared with previously. Not ideal.

Very well rotted horse manure in wood shavings. Odourless and crumbly, very easy to spread. Delivery very straightforward and efficient.

The quality of the horse manure I received will obviously be finally judged at the end of the season. As of now, it looks very good, well rotted and a rich dark black. I'm using it bothers a mulch and for digging into my raised beds. Fingers crossed. Delivery was as promised.

The pallet was well packaged and even protected against weather / water ingress, the bags themselves are ideal for purpose when compared against other mediums , the manure looks the business and seems to go a long way ! , I cant wait to see next years results .

An excellent product - the horse manure is well rotted with little odour. The bags are of manageable size, and they were well packed on the pallet. The driver was courteous and helpful. I am very pleased with my order: I just wonder whether the plastic wrapping and bags are recyclable.

I ordered the 1200 litre of horse manure mulch. It arrived on time and looked fantastic. I am halfway through spreading the mulch, it is easy to handle with little smell and is the best mulch I have ever used. I would recommend any gardener to use this .

2 x XL bags dropped perfectly where I needed them so as not to block access by helpful driver. Manure is well rotted which is key, is dark and looks rich, completely debris free apart from one or two small brick pieces. Spreading nicely by the barrowload now.

Will not use this company again.The so called horse manure was not proper horse manure but mostly bark and wood chips and a great deal of builders rubble and a long wire.When I rang and complained and sent a photo I have had no response.
I feel they should issue me with a refund but would be very surprised if I even hear from them.

Not very happy.Would not purchase this again.
First it was not a proper horse manure,just a mulch with bits of bark etc.
Second ,it had a great many small stones and larger bits of rubble in it.
Third a long piece of rather lethal looking wire.
When I rang to complain I was asked to send a photo of the rubble and wire and they would get back to me.I duly sent a photo and have heard nothing since.
Will not be buying from this company again.

I have a new garden following building work which has left the soil very mixed with some very poor areas and some better soil. I was looking for something to mix into the beds to help break down/improve the poor quality of the soil. This product is not quite what I expected as it is closer to compost than manure. This is not necessarily a bad thing as long as it improves the quality of the soil. One advantage is that It is easier to spread on the beds and doesn't smell but I not sure that it will do the same job as manure. Time will tell.

I am preparing beds for planting following building work. I wanted a product that would break down the clay and improve the quality of the soil. I ordered this product because I thought it was manure whereas this looks more like compost. This is not necessarily a bad thing as long as it does the job. In it's favour it is easier to put on the beds than actual manure would be and it doesn't smell. Only time will tell if it does as required and improves the soil.
