Excellent product delivered in a full jumbo bag. The compost was well graded and fell apart easily when digging from bag and spreading.
The only improvement should be to the delivery. Although the order confirmation gave a provisional delivery date there was no communication to confirm or or give any warning of delivery to ensure someone was present.

My third delivery of this material which has really helped break down a heavy allotment soil. The delivery drivers have also been helpful and flexible. I have tried bulk before but the individual bags are much more flexible, especially if you need the product in more than one location. Top service.

Transferred easily to 50L sacks for storage and easy handling.

I have ordered the John Innes No 3 compost for several years now. In my experience it is an excellent compost. It is easily wettable and moisture retentive but free draining. I have used it in the greenhouse and outside and everything I have grown in it has done well. Some perennials have grown well for several years in the same pot of compost which would be unlikely to happen in a multi-purpose compost.
I have also used the spent mushroom compost for several years and that is also excellent.
The service from CPA Horticulture has been first class. Every order has been delivered at the time they said.

We get a pallet of this every year for flower, shrub and bulb pots, planting out seedlings, vegetable raised beds, patching up lawns and to add a layer of good soil to existing beds. The results are fantastic because of the nutrients, texture and drainage of this compost. The delivery was second to none in being helpful positioning the pallet where we wanted and getting it down the slope of our drive. Highly recommended!

Quality of the John Innes 3 looks good. Too early to tell whether plants will thrive. There was an issue with the delivery schedule. But the CPAH customer support was good and sorted out the delvery by the following day.

Must say that the delivery was as promised and being sceptical about the quality of the compost ordering via internet, it looks very good. The medium looks about the right mix for John Innes No3.
Although I won’t be using for a month or so yet to see how it performs, compared to buying individual bags from diy stores etc it should be a real bargain.

Nice quality product in 20kg sacks. I expect a bulk bag would be more eco friendly but these are convenient for me as 67 year old lady gardener and I take the bags to the soft plastics recycling point.

Painfully expensive at current price of £125 for 700L, but consistently high quality and an excellent long-lasting mix for raised beds on heavy clay, unlike some of the cheaper topsoil/compost mixes I've used have used.

I’ve had numerous bags of this John Innes blend over the last couple of years and it’s excellent. I have a heavy clay soil in my garden and I have been digging this in my borders to improve drainage. The plants have been growing well and weeding is made considerably easier. There are no stones in the mix and I have also used it in my tubs and hanging baskets and for potting up plants. I will be buying more in the future.

Delivered a day early despite being updated online that it was coming on the Wednesday. No problem as driver could put it at the side of the driveway, and its too big to pinch!
Interesting, mix must have been done when wet, as soil was somewhat in round lumps and the mix wasn't homogeneous as you find in bags but reasonable value in bulk.
John Innes can vary considerably between suppliers but it appears to be less sandy than some.
Probably would order again following assessment of performance
